Only 10 years or so ago, working girls were the exception to the rule. Girls working wasn’t a new idea, but it was one that was nearly fully replaced during the 1950s.
In that time, the new Yank post-war wealth led on to this ideology that ladies work was in the home and not at work. Roles for ladies diminished to some services like secretary and teacher.
Outside of those industries, there were not many possibilities for working girls. It actually is sweet to see how things have changed in the previous couple of years. Don’t misunderstand me, there is still a ways to go, but despite that things are looking up for working ladies in the 21st century. More ladies are going to university and completing it then men, and ladies are working in high technology fields in larger numbers than previously. Wages are up, dropout rates are down, and it appears that working girls have a bright future.
Virtually all the females I know are working ladies.
The point that’s of interest is they have a tendency to be basically more successful than plenty of the men I know. Many of them are in pretty cutting edge industries and making glorious career wages.
However , there are still things that have to be modified. Working girls still get less cash for the work than men do. Though the stereotypes are not true, they hold some power over many young girls, keeping them away from systematic careers that could be better for them.
